Cindy Thibodeau

In 2002, Cindy graduated with honours from the University of Ottawa with a Baccalaureate of Science in Physiotherapy. She has since been working full time as a registered physiotherapist in the private practice setting. Over the years, she has developed a solid experience as a manual therapist, treating sports and orthopaedics injuries, as well as in women's health.

Cindy has pursued post-graduate clinical training in various areas including:

  • Manual Therapy (Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy - Successful completion of the Advanced Manual & Manipulative Physiotherapy Examination - Part B - Fall 2011
  • Pregnancy & postpartum physical health & fitness (Developed a Pre & Postnatal exercise program to promote physical wellness during & after pregnancy - since 2004)
  • Core stabilization rehabilitation
  • Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques of specific joints such as shoulder, neck and TMJ

Cindy is devoted to the wellbeing of her clients and dedicated to her work. She attributes a lot of value to injury prevention and encourages clients to come in for assessment of muscular imbalances before they start to experience problems.

She strongly believes in the importance of balancing personal and professional demands to succeed in achieving a healthy lifestyle. She is passionate about staying physically active and does so by practicing yoga, pilates, cycling and swimming. Traveling is another one of her passions, in which she incorporates hiking adventures: Peru, New Zealand, Iceland and Tanzania (Kilimanjaro summit, February 2008) just to name a few.

Motion Matters is sad to see our massage therapist Sue Harris leave our clinic. Good luck to her. We also would like to inform our clients that our physiotherapist Monate, who is expecting her second child at the end of April will be on maternity leave for a year.
